What are some good aggresive fish to keep as pets other than oscars2007-11-24 23:41:22

I'm looking to make a simple very large fish tank with aggresive fish so I can feed them feeder fish and have a very cool, yet simple set up? Saltware or freshwater fish acceptable.

You're most likely only going to be able to have just one fish in the tank if you want something that aggressive. As far as freshwater, blood parrots aren't that aggressive-have 7 of them, once in awhile you may find an aggressive one, but don't count on it. Check into cichlids, a lot of them are pretty aggressive.

Don't know much about salt water fish, but I know lionfish and puffers are fairly aggressive.

Parrot Fish are very aggressive, I have a warm water tank, I had a Parrot fish and had to get rid of it as it ate all my other fish, and any new ones we put in it ate them straight away, so it was either keep the parrot fish or get rid and have other fish, we went with the latter, you wont be disappointed with Parrot Fish if aggressive fish is what you want then these are for you.

Pacus (like baby pirahnas) are really cool. A word of advice though. Feed freshwater fish saltwater feeders. Feed Saltwater fish freshwater feeders. Every mutant feeder you drop in can spread disease and parasites, but only to its own medium. Freshwater parasites can't survive in salt water.get it.

clown nife, arowana, red bellly pachu ( it might be spelled wrong) jackdamsy, blackconvect, red Devil, Green Terror, Parrot fish, Flower Horns are very nice and agressive, thats all i could think of right know.

Go to a specialty aquarium store. They have everything divided up into sections (salt water, fresh water, community, and agressive) so you can pick what you want.
