What could I put in a 10 gallon pure water tank
At first I wanted to put 2 baby turtles in it.. but they wont sale any baby turtles because of their disease.. so what can I put in there that will look PRETT!?!?!?
Answers:How about a male betta and an African dwarf frog?
Perhaps a couple of tetras? Remember, they're schooling fish, so to see the best behavior and color, you'll have to keep them in groups of six or more (as long as they're the smaller variety of tetras).
As long as you have a heater (and your tank is cycled) your options are pretty much unlimited. Remember to keep to the general rule of thumb of one inch of adult slim-bodied fish per one gallon of water (this does not apply to goldfish, plecos, cichlids, freshwater sharks, or any saltwater fish).
If you don't want fish, look for some of the smaller lizards and frogs available at most pet stores. You will need to keep a lid on that tank, as well as provide them with the appropriate humidity conditions, lighting, heat, etc. Or perhaps a hamster or two.
Dezertgurl: The poster asked for freshwater fish. Octopi are saltwater. Also, the tank is far too small for most eels and octopi.
Jabo: You're desperately overstocked. Your pleco will outgrow that tank within a year (they should not be kept in anything less than a 55-gallon tank), and will end up feasting on your smaller fish if given the opportunity.
you can put an eel. I have one of those they are really cool. Then you should put a sucker fish to help keep th etank clean. Or if you dont want to have any of those then you can also get an octupuse. NO JOKE!
Something really exotic and unsual.
If you get a heater you can put some little blue neons in it. They look really cool. Anything that stays small really. Maybe a firebelly newt, or something like that if you have somewhere they can go to get out of the water for a rest :)
