I want to plant my tank and I need to implement a CO2 system. Does anyone have experience putting together and starting a home-made CO2 system? Also, what kind of substrate should I use?
Answers:It would be a lot easier to buy one (and about the same cost. The amount of CO2 you add would depend on the size of the tank.

What type of aquarium is it? Fresh or Salt water?
I've always had freshwater aquariums with live plants and have never even heard of a CO2 system for them.
Just use a HIGH Quality filter.

CO2 is colorless, odorless and deadly. Don't muck with it. Buy a professional set up.
