What do longhorn cow fish eat and what should their salt level be
one pet store told me one set of care and feeding instructions, another gave me a differant set.
what is the best food and water conditions for the "long horn cow fish" a type of box fish?
Answers:Rule of thumb, don't ever, ever listen to a fish store employee, unless you are absolutely certain they have a clue. I've only known of 2 personally lol.
Here's a pretty good site with some info. Neat looking fish!!

Cowfish or boxfish get REALLY big and REALLY aggressive. Unless you have about a 75g tank or larger, you don't want to get one.
Trust me.
A salinity of 1.025 should work.
This type of fish is best left for experienced marine aquarium hobbyists with large tanks (~200gal as they grow get huge, up to 20").
If you've already purchased that fish I advise returning it, if possible. These fish can become highly toxic if stressed in the aquarium (the toxins they release can pretty much kill everything in the tank.including themselves).
