where did you get the live rock from. For 5 dollars a lb im willing to bet it isnt "premium" but honestly that term is thrown around loosly. In my opinion its more of a marketing tool than anything else, used to jack the price up. Ive gotten "premium" fiji live rock and i have gotten other fiji live rock that are both in the same tank and after a few months i can't tell the difference. I gues premium fiji live rock has more coralline algae growth and other possible creatures that are living in it. But after the regular live rock is in your trank for awhile you will never know the difference. So just get a few pieces of "premium" rock to seed the tank and in a few months your regular live rock will be "premium"
