What fish do you suggest keeping in my 20 gallon long tank
i need some ideas, CICHLIDS ONLY PLEASE
you ideas can be a temporary tank or a permanent home
cichlids
thank you in advance you guys
Answers:I just want to tell you that if you were to get cichlids, be prepared to get a larger tank. Cichlids can get extremely large, and a 20 gallon tank long or not will not help accommodate them for long. It would be fine for about a year or so, but you would then need to invest in a larger tank. Also, you cannot really combine any fish with cichlids, unless your planning on them being a meal. They are extremely carnivorous, and you would need to get feeders as a weekly treat. Make sure your lid stays closed at all times, for they are known to jump out, and will bite!
Good luck!
GOLD FISH~!! I went through that same question couple of month ago for my 40 gallon of fish tank, I am VERY happy with my gold fish of 10. They are easy to take care, tough, and beautiful to look at.
Maybe get a pair of Green Terrors or Jack Dempseys, or both!
Additional Info: You don't have a large enough tank for an Oscar, however I do find these to be the most interesting of the cichlids. Maybe do a little research, you may come to find you want to get a bigger tank! (55gal is really the minimum for 1 oscar)
Dude get some Oscars. They are a rather aggresive fish so they should be fine with cichlids. Many people consider oscars to be the dog of the fish world.
