bettas and goldfish who ever these people are that are saying they all need air or the plastic ones are the only ones you can get are full of it go to wal-mart and look the betas are in little plastic cups and you dont see any airline in there

a betta is about all you can keep like that unless you change water constantly. you can pick up a tank with a filter while you are at walmart for not much money.

All fish require these. You may be able to keep a Betta, but it is not in the fishes best interest to do so. You will drastically shorten its lifespan.

But you really only need a 2.5 gallon tank, heater, and filter to keep a Betta happy for life

betta fish doesn't require all of that. as long as you keep with with fresh water (usually distelled water)
