What food should i feed my molly fry2007-11-24 23:11:56

I have some baby molly fish. I have been feeding them powdered fish flakes and they have been nibbling but i have to push it down infront of their noses to make them notice it. My questions are:

1-What should i feed them instead?

2-should I even be concerned about this?

3-If i can crush up frozen brine shrimp that i feed the adult and feed them that

thanks!

Answers:

1. Powdered Flakes, Live Baby Brine Shrimp and Finely Crushed Frozen Brine Shrimp(for this one let the shrimp soak in tank water before serving it to them so its much more loos and easy for them to eat)

2. Yes, alot of people have been concerned about feeding their fry.

3. Yes, Crush them as much as you can into fine powder type then let it soak in tank water then serve.

Hope this helps

you can try giving algae that grew on rocks, fries like algaes since those are easy picking...

sure you can be concerned if you want your fry to survive and grow

mmmm... sure you can! but how about newly hatched artemias, that'll work great

good luck

there are fry foods at the petstores, i use that stuff on my livebearer fry!
1. Newly hatched brine shrimp made from a shrimp hatchery, crushed - up freeze dried brine shrimp, or fry food found at most pet stores.

2. Maybe they're so small that their eyes can only see it if it's in front of them.

3. Yes you can, but crushing something frozen is really hard unless you thaw it first.
