what happened to this fish? :( it happened after he got a mouthful of rocks and opened his mouth huge. i think it's really hyper-extension of a gill inside his mouth and yes he's still alive.

ok that cant be good

there are three ways, im sure u already know of them.

there's the hope way that he can fix his mouth given a lot of time

theres the rough way when u physically fix the mouth

and there's the safest way, u either take the fish to a vet, or contact the vet via email and show him the link u desplayed here / then seek his guidance

Bobbi, like Ice said, I sent your question the first time directly to both magicman and copperhead. These two gentlemen are what I call total experts in disease and medications. They both have helped me save some of my fish in the past. I cannot think of anyone better to help you then those two.

I don't know 2much about fish. You should so to at petstore and ask somone there. My first thought was that a very exciting life changing event happen to you fish now he smiles alot:)
