What is the slowest fish in the sea2007-11-24 23:41:53Answers:

HI FRIEND! The slowest fish are the sea horses (family Syngnathidas). Smaller species like the dwarf sea horse (Hippocampus zosterae), which is just 4.2 cm (1.7 in) in length, probably never attain speeds of more than 0.016 km/h (0.001 mph). The swimming ability of sea horses is severely limited by a rigid body structure and the only parts of the fish's body which can be moved rapidly are the pectoral fins on either side of the back of the head and the dorsal fin along the back.

The Seahorse is the slowest fish in the sea. It would take one of the smaller species an hour to travel the length of the Mediterranean tank in this aquarium.
