How large of a tank is it? If its a large enough tank that provides hiding spaces and still has a lot of swimming space than you can get away with more less agressive fish. Otherwise id reccomend keeping damsels with outher damsels. You can try the 3 stripe damsels, domino damsels, sgt major, yellow belly damsel ect... Damsels are very agressive and territorial they are known to attack fish many times their size so i would stay away from the more delicate, less agressive fish unless your tank is large enough to provide many hiding space along with ample room to swim. The yellow tail blue Damsels tend to be somewhat of an aggressive fish unless the fish that they are placed with are a more dominant fish. They do best in pairs also. They are usually bought as starter fish, while your tank is cycling because they have a better chance of surviving, and they are pretty inexpensive. I still have my 2 damsels that I started with 3 years ago. I also have to Maroon clown fish, and the damsels sure don't mess with them. Good luck!

Of the damsels they are the least agressive. pretty much anything that is bigger than them will be fine.
