What is this an egg cluster2007-11-24 23:12:06

this afternoon i removed all of my fish and put them into a temporary tank so i can renovate their current home. the removal happend about 8 or 9 hours ago, and during that time, i moved a large rock from a horizontal position to a vertical position. about half an hour ago i investigated the empty tank and discovered some funky round things covered in some sort of 'glue' on the side of the rock that used to face the ground. - the rock acted as a caveand the side with the round things was the ceiling of the cave.

i dont know what the round things are, im assuming that theyre eggs, but of whom? ive pictures of them:

what are those? eggs? keep in mind that they were on the ceiling of a cave. could they be snail eggs?

Interesting picture and from the picture it does resemble some form of egg. But cories don't tend to lay their eggs in that type of grouping, nor do the other fish you mentioned as having in your tank (assuming they'd sneak into the "cave"). None of the fish I might suspect were on your list. They also do not resemble snail eggs. You have two basic options, keep the eggs and hope they are fertile and hatch and see what comes from them (I'd definitely move them to a separate tank, just in case it's not something you want) or assume it's a potential threat and sterilize the rock.
