I know what aquarium I want, but I don't know what fish! I'm open to many kinds just as long as they aren't too hard to take care of.
Answers:tetras are extremely easy to handle
hope this helps :)

I do not recommend goldfish they are very messy and you have to change the water ALOT! My bf lost a lot of gold fish due to the water having to be changed so much and he has a 5 gallon tank.
i think the rule is one inch of fish per gallon. but i wouldnt count on my knowledge
If you have a filter, you can get tropical fish. I have 3 platys and an algae sucker to keep the tank clean. I have had success with these fish and not with regular goldfish.

You're pretty limited in a 5 gallon. If you get a small heater..25 watt should be suficient, you can maybe put 5 or 6 neon tetras and a couple of ghost or cherry shrimp. Or one Betta and a couple of bamboo shrimp. You don't have to have a heater for the betta though.
