you can get a small 1.5 gallon tank kit that comes with the pump and the light/heater, the whole 9 yards, its pretty cheap they have it at petco for like 16 bucks. she can pick out her own gravel and

it will be like a step-up from a beta, she'll feel like a big girl with

her "big girl" tank. the guppies come in different colors, with a 1.5

gallon you can get like two or three of them. Just remember to fill

up and let the tank "cycle out" for like 4 days, you have to get

the water levels okay before you buy the fish or they'll keep dying.

You should buy a Calico Crown Pearl Scale Goldfish, they're pretty special.

African Cichlids are a good breed that last awhile. They don't require much in the way of water changes but they are very prolific and will reproduce at will. I have pink african cichlids and every 4 days I see eggs hatching. They never survive due to the fact that I have so many of them in one tank. Cichlids have a much better color about them. But remember they are very aggressive.

If, this just a Fish Bowl without an air pump you are limited to about 3 fish.

1. Betta (Can be aggressive toward fish that look Betta)

2. Goldfish (Ask about a small Oranda as they get big they pretty {easy going but feed small amount throughout the day, I feed mine small amounts 3-5 times a day as I walk by})
