Also want to stay away from Chinese algae eaters, they get mean when they get older and stop eating the algae.

Need algae eaters? Try Snails, Clown Loach, Chinese Algae Eater, or the Armored Suckermouth Catfish. Snails come free with your unwashed gravel or live aquatic plants. The Clown Loach and the Chinese Algae Eater would eat algae and even snails. The Armored Suckermouth Catfish would eat algae and left-over scraps of food. What I have is a pair of Bronze Corydoras (member of the Catfish family) who stay at the bottom and always search for left-over food.

Need additional fish stock? Try Paradise Fish and Dwarf Gourami. They don't need oxygen pump and water filter because they breathe air directly from the water surface, and don't require much space as they grow only in proportion to the size of your tank. They are top and middle dwellers, have a wide array of colors, and are robust swimmers.

It's way to small for a pleco, or chinese algae eater. Also some pelcos will suck on goldfish, and cinese algae get aggressive when they get older. A mystery/apple snail would work. An Oto algae, but it would require a heater to get the tank in the low 70s.
WHAT EVER YOU DONT BUY THE CHINESE ALGAE EATER ITS ONE OUT OF FIVE WORST FISH IN YOUR TANK! EXPERTS SAYS THAT THEY ARE VERY DIRTY AND GROWS VERY BIG. IN MY OPINION GET THE THE ORDINARY ALGAE EATER OR PLECOSTUMOS
snail. the tank is really too small for anything else.
Sucking catfish are good - they clean rocks and glass and are funny to watch while they do it!
