If you get gouramis, make sure to get ones that don't get large, like gold gouramis.
Most of these fish can eat the same food. You can just feed them tropical flake food, or whatever. If you feel that the cories need food, like mine, get sinking algae wafers. The brand Hikari sells those, and my cories love Hikari.
A female betta (If you put one in the tank) will want bloodworms, brine shrimp (it doesn't matter if they're freeze dried,) and pellets.
I REALLY hope that helps. Good luck!
Goldfish are great beginner fish
a common goldfish, the ones you can get from walmart for $0.83 cent
well first of all, fresh or salt water? and the only fish i really know of that are really simple to breed are guppies, black mollies, and sometimes goldfish. As to how many, I would get about 4 males, and 6 females.
