What water conditioners would you recommend2007-11-24 23:42:40

I have ozarka spring water, currently using start right, bullseye 7.0 & prime.. what do you use?? I have 3 guppies, 1 red claw crab, 1 cory catfish, &1 pleco it's a 5 gal

I use Prime, it cost a little more but last really long since you use so little. It also does more then most other water conditioners.

I use stress coat and aquarium and marine salt. I use the fewest chemicals I can. I treat with meds only when I need to. My personal preference, is the fewer chemicals you put in your tank, the better. Use what you NEED to use, and forgo the rest.

Also, not trying to be rude, but as people said in your other question, your tank DOES have too many fish in it. Whne you overstock, you are asking for problems, hance asking for the need to arise to use more chemicals. :-)

Use Prime (contains bacterias to take care of all water conditions)

Stress Coat- Dechlorinator, and it helps the body of the fish.

Stress Zyme- Bacteria to help tank cycle

Cycle- Same as above, and the best!

Start Right and Stability (only when adding a new fish or when cycling). The fewer things you add, the better it is for your fish.

get a 20 gallon tank. That way you don't have to use any chemicals. And you can get a few more fish.

usually you can just let the water sit and age for a few days before adding to the tank. No chemicals.

personally I would not use any only things I put in my tank is dechlorinator and that is just to treat the water

I use Prime also. IMO you're using way too much stuff. I'd do away with the Start Right, Prime does the same thing. And as far as the ph chemical, wouldn't recommend it. Just leave your ph the way it is.
