Whats wrong with my fish2007-11-24 23:42:46

Not sure what type he is but he is a long orange fish with no fins and his body narrows at one end. I put him the tank 2 weeks ago and he has never moved, he just lays at the top of the tank completely motionless. I've never seen him eat or anything. He's beginning to look kinda mouldy. My mate reckons its because its a carrot.

By your description your fish is suffering from an extreme case of vegitableitus there is no known cure,the only thing to do is to boil it then eat it if you know someone who owns a horse or donkey i am sure that they would appreciate it

Try taking a dump in the tank, and see if he doesn't move when one of your turds comes flyin' out yer at him!

Maybe it has the same condition that your dog and cat have.

Eggy, Your carrot fish is doing fine and thriving well as indicated by the molds on its body. It is nocturnal so you wont ever see it move or eat.remeber, it must be extremely dark!!. If however, it sinks to the bottom of the tank then you need to worry.
