3. Your Oscar may have been picking on your pleco, when a fish wants to fight or gets aggressive, they usually go for the eyes. You might want to consider re-homing your pleco into another tank, as Oscar fish can grow to be pretty big. If it is the Oscar making the marks on the pleco now at a small size, think want he could do bigger.
I would try the medication first and if it doesn't clear up in a week or so, it's probably the Oscar. Watch them from time to time, especially at feeding time when I fish is it's most aggressive if that's the case. Good Luck.
