I have one I baught yesterday I love her anyone else love betas?

clean them once a week or put them in a plant vase with a plant in it believe me they love it and will love for YEARS ive had mine since the 3rd grade and im in 10th grade

Yeah, we love ours to, they are so pretty. The colorful, flowing ones are actually the males. Make sure you don't put any other fish in with it, they'll just fight until one dies.

I think they are cool I had one whne I was little in a small bowl and next tiem I am putting it in a tank it lived for 6 months but jumped out because hte bowl was ossmall

I was given a Beta for my birthday, and have fallen in love with him. He is fun to talk to and responds to my voice. When it's feeding time, I tap lightly on the side of his tank and he swims to the top on that side. When he is "flowing" along, he is so beautiful!! Best of luck with yours.

Did you know that you can only have one male betta in a bowl or tank? They are very territorial and will fight to the death. Female bettas are smaller and have less flashy tails and not as bright colors. You can have more than one female. If you put a female in with a male, he may chase her and eat her tail. They are bubble blowers. What that means is that they blow a bubble nest on the top of the wate to lay their eggs in. All fish will eat their young so if you are lucky enough to get eggs hatching remove them and put them in another tank right away.
