I love my Pacu and wished I could have room for some Silver Dollars. Anyone have Pacu?

1. yes, I like South American fish.

I have various Tetras, Angelfish, and some dwarf cichlids, all from South America. Very colorful and active fishes!

2. But I don't go for huge fish, like Pacu. They are OK fish, but they get so big, you have to have a big enough tank, and you have to feed and clean the tank a lot. Lots of food = lots of fish poo to clean up! :-)

they really do eat anything, it isnt wise to put other fish and or trinkets in the tank with it

when i was growing up the PANAMA CANAL ZONE ( my parents were teachers at the base there) i could go out and catch all kinds of wild tropical fish it was so much fun - tetras, wild guppies, feral guppies, and mexican swordtails ust to name a few boy i miss the old days lol
