Who invented the fishtank2007-11-24 23:43:42

When did someone think, "Hey. I'm just going to take some fish out of the river and put them in a bowl of water so I can look at them."?

Answers:

In China they used to put fish in clay pots and observe them from above. later on fish were put in glass tanks with a metal bottom and a fire was made under it to heat it.

i figure it was some jerk that decided to hurt the environment by making little places to put animals that never did anything to anybody.
The Egyptians were the first to build a tank like on the ground and put fish on it, that was some 3 thousand years ago, then other people copy the idea to the day that we have glass fish tanks. cyb
Good question. It was most likely someone who noticed that various fish were very pretty, colorful and easy to care for. I somehow imagine a goldfish.
Good Question! I don't know. I don't think it was Greenpeace. May have been some kind of freak accident like the invention of the light bulb or something. I'm going to research this pressing question!

Good Luck
