We got a Betta about a week and a half ago.. When we bought him, he was Red. Now he has changed to a deep orange.. Why is this?
Answers:Sometimes they change colors if they go from good care to bad care.or bad care to good care. I got a dull colored brown betta once, and he turned a beautifull blue-green betta! Make shure he is in a tank at least 3 gallons. There temperature should be between 75-82 degrees F. They love libe plants, and food like freeze dried bloodworms, etc.
i dont no i have one to but it has been red from day 1
some pet shops will artificially color the fish with the food they feed them. Bettas also change color when under stress. My Parrot fish were blue when I got them and are now turning into their natural color, orange. My female bettas change color when I have to clean the tank and have to take them out.
