Why do people that own neons seen so weak and fragile
The actual life span of a Neon Tetra is only 12-18 months, so more than likely when you buy Neons they're actually quite old already and therefore die soon after.
The bigger the fish, the less the effect and stress on them when changing tanks.. Neons being so small, have a bigger effect when moving into a new tank.
Neons are difficult to keep, your best bet is to aim to get very young neons in a large quantity so that they school together. The bigger the numbers the better chance they have of surviving in a tropical tank with bigger fish. Always safety in numbers!

are you talking about Dodge Neons or what? Man people should get a real car like a Firebird or Corvette.
'Cause their so stressed out all the time, knowing that their car will sooner or later fall completely apart. I had one. Come to think of it I did feel weaker and more fragile back then. I called it the "Bic-Neon Disposable car". Mine started shaking loose at about 50k miles.
Because Neons seem so weak and fragile. You are what you drive.
Neon Tetras aren't naturally brought into the world that way they are injected with a dye to make them all pretty like that & that is why they are sickly. I never had Good Luck with Neon Tetras.
The colours of a neon tetra ARE natural. Alot of stocks of neons are however very inbred causing weaknesses in the fish and a lower life span. Cardinals are hardier and are almost the same in looks.
Maybe it's your poor eye sight that they are "seen" as weak and fragile.
