DUE TO ALGAE. IF YOU KEEP WATER FOR MANY DAYS AND DO NOT ADD FRESH WATER OR CHANGE THE WATER THIS PROBLEM COMES NATURALLY. KEEP YOUR POND NEAT AND CLEAN AND CHANGE THE WATER PERIODICALLY.

its because of the algae.it is green in colour.it grows on the floor of the pond and when you see it from above you see it green.but be careful because if you step in side your pond you will slip and have a bang.so take care bye bye. nice days

Because of the growth of green algae in the pond and algae needs to prepare for his own food it needs sun light for photosynthesis so they come up to recieve sunlight from the water surface. So they all come out to the surface and it looks green.
