Will a LOW ph level in our saltwater tank kill fish2007-11-24 23:44:11Answers:
I wish I could tell you the exact level that might kill the fish, I've searched around but could not come up with that answer. I do know that invertebrates are more susceptible to lower PH than fish, but both will not stand a low PH for an extended period.
It will put stress on your fish and over a period that could do them in.
Here is a link to a great website with answers to PH levels:

Good luck keeping those fish happy!
ph is very important and should b at a steady level, get it back to where it belongs.
most fiish.,-yes it will ..But u have to make your ph go up slow or the fish will die b/c of the fast change in ph so slowly have to go back up..Fish do die b/c of low ph but if it's just a lil low then they wont if they are use to it just make it go up slow .Good luck..
p.s some fish are a lil stronger and like lower ph so it matters what fish u have in there as well but ..
Some fish tolerate different levels, and the truth is that it can kill them because it sends a bunch of this into play that might harm and kill the fish.
