It's a 30 gal. reef tank with nitrate, nitrite, and amonia all unmeasurable or at near unreconizable levels. Calcium and PH are within desired perameters as well. All acclimation procedures are followed to the best of my knowledge but both angels and tangs still dont make it through the 1st night! Y?
Answers:Have a water sample tested at a store that specializes in water filtration systems. You need to be looking for some other toxicity that is killing them since you cannot test for everything at home. It will be worth the expense considering the cost of the fish you are losing.

Is your source for fish the same place always? It could be that you buy them at a weakened condition or very damaged already. Tropical fish travel a very long way before they get to your home in horrendous conditions with several stops where they are suddenly exposed to bad water conditions, strange medications with little or no food. Aside from that the manner in which the fish was caught will come to play as well. If your source has had the fish in stock for some time you might want to ask them what their water condion is like.
The problem is the water temperature.
