WOULD IT BE OK TO FEED IT 1 GOLDFISH A DAY ?

Answers:

Pacu Fish are herbivores, i.e. they feed on herbs and other vegetation. Yet, Pacu Fish in the wild may feed also on very small fish and other tiny sea creatures and insects.

I would say if you insist on giving it to him then once or twice a week, and the rest of the time try to stick with a vegetarian diet. You dont want to upset his internal balance.

I would suggest that if you are planning on feeding them to your fish put them into quarantine first to make sure they are healthy.leave them there for at lest 3-4 weeks.

Just remember though.if you start feeding them live fish, if at any time you want to put other fish in the tank with yours the chances are they will get eaten.

Only if you want to blow out its liver and kill it young. Pacu's ARE VEGETARIANS! Sure they are opportunistic but in the wild their diet primarily is vegetation. They also GROW to 3 FEET. They grow fast too.

I give the big pacu at work some algae wafers, veggie flakes, pieces of carrot, and bits of collard greens. Im sure he would love duckweed but that stuff is hard to come by up here.
