Can Plecos live with goldfishs?
Answers:Are you talking about the algae eating fish that looks like a catfish? If so, then yes, you can put other fish in the tank as they keep to themselves. I have one that cleans the tank for me and the other fish just leave him alone.
Mine never did! They are cleaning fish, and they are usually the ones in the corner of the tank!! If another fish dies or something he might try to suck it up, so as soon as you notice a dead fish in the tank TAKE IT OUT IMMEDIATELY!
Yes, a plecostemus will eat a guppy if it happens to get a hold of it, but they don't aggressively seek them out. They can live with goldfish, but the conditions will have to favor the sucker, not the goldies (warm, well filtered, etc.)
A Pleco is a peaceful type fish. Very very large ones can get territorial and be aggressive to its own kind.
You sure can..It well not bother them at all..Well my never did..
i have a same size pleco as yours..
its find with guppies.. my guppies all doing find, but i do lost some small fishes (heads off, wat the ..). Goldfish is a bit dangerous because my fren's goldfish's eye been sucks by it.. so i think don put goldfishes with this giant pleco is better ..
The larger the pleco gets the better chance of it eating your guppies. One full grown at about 18 inches will eat any little fish it can. How big is your tank that you got such a large fish for it?
yes
