These guys are known to get aggressive as they get older/bigger. They stop eating the algae and go after the fish. Strongly do not recommend these fish for anyone. And I always see them mixed in with community/tropical fish at the stores.

Regardless if it is or isn't, take them back to the fish store. Tell them the fish is too aggressive and is killing off your other fish.

i think you're talking about 'chinese algae eater'. maybe. These guys are quite aggressive. They eat more meat than algae. And I've seen them attack other fish.

umm. return him if you can. I don't think you were expecting this guy to eat everybody.

"Feeding: Feed once a day. Baby arawanas will absorb their yolk sac. Afterwards they can be given live brine shrimp. Once they reach a few inches in size they will accept live guppies. Adult arawanas will eat a variety of foods. We recommend live goldfish."
