If that is the case - begin to investigate them for potential sickness. How often do you do water changes? How big is your tank? What kind of wattage do you have for your lighting?

There's a lot of factors here that you have not filled us in on.

They're just stressed at the moment. Do a full water change, and DO NOT change their life scedual abruptly, such as changing their feeding time. Don't kill them either, that'd be really stupid. Did you add a new member to the tank? If so, you should put the newbie's bag in the tank(with the fish still inside) and a few hours later, let the fish out of the bag and into the tank. And stop talking murder, please.
