is it possible for a goldfish in a tank to be pregnant
one of my goldfish's belly started getting big and i thought it was pregnant but several days later, it died. could it have been possible it got pregnant by my other goldfish?

Foods high in fat can cause a goldfish to get stopped up. Don't overfeed goldfish, because they are greedy and eat more than necessary. Try to vary the food, give them vegetables (peas, cucumbers, lettuce, spinach) and fruits (kiwi, orange) and also live food (earthworms, tubifex worms, bloodworms, mosquito larvae, and daphnia)

Sounds like dropsy to me. The fish swells so much even the scales may begin to stick out.
She may have been eggbound or constipated as well. You should be feeding them peas, zucc., or romaine 2-3 times a week to prevent constipation.
