is pearl arowana fish is suitable for indian condition
i have 3 1/2feet llenght tank is tat space is enough for a pearl arowana fish, which water is better salt water or a drinking water ,
Answers:First things first your tank is about 3 1/2 in length, so it can have at max 30gal of water, hence you may require a large tank(maybe 50-120gal) to pet arowana.
They r hardy fish can live in all waters so what u got to do is maintain certain environmental conditions(for any arowana in general):
Hardness: 8-12掳 dGH
PH: 6.5 to 7.0
Temp: (75-86掳 F) 24-30掳 C
The only thing u can bother about is feeding, live meal is more prefered by it.
Now the best advice for u is take a small arowana about 5-8" keep it in ur present aquarium and when it grows u can transfer to a larger aquarium later.
By the way u can keep any fish in any region of the world, it is that u should have proper equipment and suitable environmental conditions for that fish.Details for the equipment can be had from eBay,amazon & many other sites which can ship the equipment to India.
Much info about care & feeding the arowana can be had from:

Tank Conditions: 75-86掳F; pH 6.9-7.1; KH 1-10
Hardness - softer is better, 50 ppm
Temperature-around 80F to 82F most common
Water Changes - 25% to 50% weekly is essential. Arowana seem to be more sensitive to high nitrites than other fish. Never conduct a 100% change in water, as Arowana are very sensitive to Chlorine and other chemicals/medications. Some advocate water conditioner to de-chlorinate new water others don鈥檛.
