i have recently bought one and i was wondering wat type of foods i should feed it and anything else i should do special for it. the guy at the petstore said they love crickets.
Answers:They do love insects at the top of the water, but can be trained (easily) to accept prepared foods. You should get them on a variety to make sure they have access to all the nutrients they need.
Also, make sure you have a good lid on the tank -- it might be best in this case to only fill 1/2 to 2/3 of the tank. THis way, they can't jump out as easily, and you can also view them better. One of the best ways to view these fish is from above, that's when they really look like little butterflies.
