My Betta Fighter fish, swins really really fast at a particular time in the evenings, n her gills open up n stuff? wat exactely happens to her?? She swims normally throughtout the day

Plz help me on this

"she" is a he and if its at a particular time of day like the evening when its starting to go dark outside of the tank he may be able to see his reflection in the side of his tank and be threatening his own reflection.

When it is light outside the tank the reflection disappears and he calms down.
