lol silly question
my beta fish has bubbles above the tank and i know that means hes ready to mate but dont beta fish fight with other beta fishes?(aka fighting fish)
also how can u tell from a girl beta fish to a boy?
Answers:Yes it means he is waiting for a mate, male betas will take the eggs from the female and put them in his bubble nest. As soon as this takes place you need to get the female out of the tank or he will kill her. The difference is the female is not brightly colored and has shorter fins. You can keep a beta in a community tank with other community fish and he will be fine.
she'll be the one in a dress
bubbles just mean shes happy
The female beta fish doesn't have the beautiful fins that the male does. I males fight with other males not the females.
have no idea. fishy
The pretty ones with the nice tail are the males.. the little ones with a very little tail is the girl.. they fight with other males, defending their territory..
Mating is complicated.
The male makes them bubbles. then the female lays the eggs on them .. then the male holds the eggs in his mouth until they are ready to survive. Its pretty sure that the female will come out with a few bruces.
Maybe your beta just has gas.
