my Pattie had babies today in the net breeder,they are really small, how long will it be before they2007-11-24 23:38:44

the fry are so small you can't even tell what color they are. How long will it be before you can tell what they really look like? when they are ready to eat what shall I feed them? They are very active, they dart here and there. Please give me all the information you can about baby fish. Thank you!

When I was little I used to have some, and generally they will eat right away provided there's food. You can get special baby fish food at any pet or convenience store, or just crush adult food super tiny. The babies will most likely look like the parents, but you won't be able to tell their true colors for a few weeks. Don't forget to take mom out because like the other fish, she will try and eat the babies.

you have to feed them like right after they are born. just put a little bit of fish flakes in a little baggie thing and grind it up till its in little bit and put some in their. they should start eating it right away.

ok seprate the mom from the babies and feed them until they get big enough to not be eaten by other fish

you can feed them fry bits now or you can crumble up some fish flakes real small and feed the frys that they will eat it if small enough . leave in net until they are big enough to fin for themself. remember to take the plantys mom out of net but leave the babies.
