Unlike guppy, and other live bearer fry. Betta fry are really really small. (Yes guppy fry are small, but they are giants compared to betta fry.) Generally you need something like mircoworms for the 1st few days. (There are commerial products, but most breeder swear by microworms.) Then baby brine shrimp. Then once they get a bit larger you can put them on flakes, or freeze dried brine shrimp.

I feed my baby platys fish flakes.

Make the flakes really small so they can eat it then put it in the breeder tank.

Mine are getting bigger now cos of the flakes.

the best thing to feed babies is powdered egg yolk give very sparingly ..as they get bigger give them,hikari bio gold.,nutra fin max.,freeze dried food.,tubifex .,glassworms., +some flake food..

Hard boil an egg and feed them the yolk (yellow part). I used to breed Bettas it was my first fish hobby and thats all I fed them. Good Luck.

chances are people already said this but here it goes. freshly hatched brine shrimp, micro-worms, and i have also read somewhere that boiled egg yolk can work. just remember to do a lot of water changes as this will get messy.
