I just found some eggs on the side of the tank about 2 days ago- There must of been 70 eggs- now it dug a ditch and moved rocks in the middle but keeps putting eggs in her mouth like shes eating them

Check to make sure she's not just moving the eggs from the side of the tank to the ditch or cleaning the eggs by taking them into her mouth and spitting them out. They will also do this with the fry to keep them all in one place. If for some reason she is actually eating the eggs, you may need to look up an account of someone who artificially raised convict fry and follow it.

No, I am sure she is not eating them. Convicts make very good parents. they will suck them into their mouth and move them, or if they feel they need to protect them. Do you have other fish in the tank besides the Dad??

convicts are great parents. i believe she or he is moving the eggs and fry.. they don't have arms so they use their mouths.

u should separate them from the other fish and put a bubble blower nrear them to keep gunk from settling on them. dont worry they will be okay. the mother is trying to take care of them, but if she keeps moving them they will not survive
