filter is not clogged and the water is cloudy
Answers:Your impellar probably has something stuck in there, and may even been air trapped in the impellar and causing it to be noisy. Try taking it off and shaking it, and seeing if that works, if not you might want to replace the impellar or get another filter.
Is it working? Sometimes if it runs dry it'll make a noise and kill the motor. Unplug the filter, put water in it and turn it back on. Hope that helps.
Is it still sucking up the water? Can you find where the vibration is coming from? It could be something simple like the lid vibrating, there isn't enough water in it, the impeller is broke or something more like the motor could not be working right.
do u have a warranty so u can get a new one?
I would recommend doing a 20% water change. Then clean the filter ( do not use detergent) hot water will do fine. Take out the impeller and clean it, and inspect it. If the magnet looks scratched i would recommend to get a new one ( this is a much less expensive option then buying a new filter) Then take a Q tip and clean out where the impeller goes. Then reassemble and pour water into the filter and start it up. This should fix the problem. Sometimes debris etc can get in where the impeller goes and cause problems.
Hope this helps. If you have any other questions or this does not work you can email me at djnelson@aquarealmaquarium.com
