Answers:Besides algae wafers, they will need supplementation with zuccini disks, cucumber disks, romaine lettuce, broccoli, green peas, you can buy dried sheets of algae from a health food store for cheap, they are the sushi wraps, or you can buy the same stuff for more money at a petstore, its called Sally's Seaweed Salad, Green Marine Algae from san francisco bay brand. Plecos also need to munch on bog wood/drift wood for fiber. Some plecos will also eat shrimp pellets too. And most plecos love the slimecoat on goldfish and other broad sided fish so beware if you are houseing him with goldfish or other big fish. THey can do alot of damage.

Cucumber, Zucchini, Romaine Lettuce are all great for plecos, and zucchini is cheap right now.
continue with pellets but plecos love zuchini and cucumbers and will eat them readily especially the zuchini. this will not harm your tank but take the left overs out in a couple of days
