how long does a loach grow?

Answers:

I have a dojo loach, and I believe in captivity they only grow to about 7-8 inches, and in the wild they can grow to about 12 inches.

check out www.wetwebmedia.com, best fish info site available.

have no idea what your talking about
Im sorry to remark, you did not specify the type of loach.

Generally speaking, any loach grows to a size about 9-12" in lenth.

It takes much time & a very proper & balanced diet to grow to that size.

If you dont know your loach, want to see yourself you can log on to this link(it contains pictures as well, feeding, care, maintenence of the fish).

I think you're talking about a Japanese Weather Loach. The ones in the shops are usually about 3 inches long, tan colored with some speckles and whiskers. The longest I've ever seen was an old one that was just under 12 inches long and almost a half inch in diameter. It was 4 years old. I think it got tough as it got older because it kept jumping out of the tank. One time it almost stayed out too long. that was a close one.
