Answers:shouldn't you have figured that out before you bought it? go back to the pet store or where ever you got it, and ask them.

When I had a lionfish I fed it frozen fish food and he seem to really like it. Don't remember the name but any fish store should carry it. Its dark in reddish in color, you just dethaw it a little and throw it in the water.
Small feeder guppies and frozen food.
I feed mine brine shrimp and ghost shrimp. He LOVES 'EM!!
Sometimes it can be difficult to get lion fish to eat. Some will say feed feeder comets they may enjoy them but can cause health issues later on. The best foods to feed are ghost shrimp, frozen silver sides, and krill. If the lion fish still doesn't eat then you can try either putting liquid garlic (made for fish) in with the food and/or they a feeding tong and move it around near the fish. Usually once the food stops moving they will not look at it again.
