what kind of fish do i have
the lady at the pet store gave me 4 free fish from the pet store for some reason, and i do not know what kind they are. they look like goldfishs, but they are like pinkish whitish. one has like long fins like an angel fish, but are the same colors.
Answers:maybe they are feeder goldfish, they r cheap so maybe that's why she gave it 2 you. i dunno about the one with the long fins,tho.
If they were free I am guessing goldfish.however they remind me of my Pink Convict Cichlid - look up a picture of that fish on the internet and compare. If it is a cichlid they would be fighting by now!
More than likely they are gold fish variations, especially since they were free.
Small "feeder fish" are often mis-stated as goldfish, but are actually a similar breed called Rosies. Medium to larger feeders are typically gold fish with plain coloring. Sometimes the color variations on these plain gold fish can range into pinks, whites, yellows and blacks. If you have one with elongated fins it is probably the gold fish variation most people call a fancy fin.
They are more than likely just Comet gold fish that have interesting colors.

They could be a rosy barb. If it has a black dot right infront of the tailfin, that is what it is. Or it could be rosie reds which are feeders or a comet goldfish which normally have the longer fins.
