what's is the best fresh water fish for a 10 gallon fish tank that can live the longest, and don't get to scared when someone put they'r hands in the tank or trying to change the water?
Answers:There are a lot of fish you can put into a 10 gallon, but I think they will all get a bit scared when you put your hand in there. If you have lots of hiding spots for them, they'll be fine.
Black/White skirt tetras (get a school of 5+)
Guppies
Mollies
Swordtails
Betta
Dwarf Gourami
White Clouds
Cories
Neon Tetras
Rasboras
I will say gubbies. Because thy are tiny and can by colorful. They cost 10 for a dollar. And there is plenty of room for gubbies inside a 10 gallon tank.
They also multiply well.
I find freshwater angelfish to be the most forgiving. I've got one going on 7 years now. The thing is you can only have 5 gallons of water per angel for them to be comfortable. Some algae eaters or a pleco would also be a suitable addition; they're bottom-dwellers, and angels are active mid-high level dwellers. The algae eaters will help keep the algae down while minding their own business, as angelfish are semi-aggressive (and very aggressive when they want to spawn.assuming you manage to pick out a male and female).
Angelfish are fine between 72*F-80*F, can be fed a good tropical fish flake diet, and last a long, long time under the right parameters.
