Some of the best trout fishing in the UK is from the river test in Hampshire . If you go to the small town of Whitchurch you can see plenty of them from the bridge that crosses the river as the water is really clear.In any event you will find them in rivers that have a strong current.

Well, here in Tasmania trout provide us with a billion dollar industry (through both tourism and fish farming), but yeah they were introduced from Europe, upon settlement.

Trout are found in a LOT of places. James Prosek wrote a book called fly fishing the 42nd about his efforts to fish the 42nd parallel. there are trout in Morocco, Turkey, Europe, Mexico. so many places. and then there are trout relatives like the Taimen from Mongolia or the Lenok. Russia has trout, Iceland has trout. there are trout located in South Africa, in Argentina and Chile. Trout can be found in Bosnia, Croatia and Slovenia. There are brout trout, rainbow trout, cutthroat trout and marbled trout. There are also a variety of char, like Brook Trout (not acutally a trout) Dolly Varden and Bull Trout (again, not actually a trout). Basically, if you have clean, cold water, you are likely to have trout. Places like Saudi Arabia. not so much. Yemen? Not that I know of. Djibouti? Doubt it. Less aroudn the equator, but it becomes likely the further north you go from the equator.

Basically, there are WAY too many places for trout to live in order to fish them all!
