Hello Blondie. Try a Lake or pond, and even a River where they are usually stocked.

Don't know where you are, but I can say from experience that there is nothing like catching a Colorado trout from a fast moving stream in the mountains. I used salmon eggs where they were allowed and throwing it on the downstream side of a big rock (The rock blocked some of the water current's flow.) always got me one, though sometimes they were small and had to be tossed back. I won't tell you the exact location because I don't want anyone to know the "Honey Hole" location. However, just about every major river or stream will have trout during the fishing season because most are regularly stocked. Check local regulations because some places allow only artificial lures.
