i want a dog or any pet sooooooooo bad. but they only give me fish. and they wont let me get any medium to big dogs. only those ugly chihuahas and pugs. yuck

my parents liked dogs. but they only let me have one. and i have 2 chihuahuas now, and they are adorable! not ugly. so anyways, take what u get or deal with it.

Any kind of dog can be very lovable, and a great companion. I wouldn't say that your parents hate dogs, they just want another kind from the one you want. It isn't the size of the dog that matters. You are living in their household, and they may have specific reasons for the kind of dog they want. When you get out on your own, you can have any kind of dog you want.
My mom Hates/Scard of dogs, I've never had one but LOVE THEM. (sometimes take care of my friends dog). Get a tortoise (at least u can play with them sometimes)
Oh that's so sad. See if they'll let you get a rat or guinea pig. Don't say yuck about the rat because I use to have (she died of cancer :( ) and she was the best friend ever! She was so sweet and kind. They loved to be held and they are easy to take care of. Well I hope you get the animal that suit you well! Good Luck
