One type of goldfish is not more prone to disease then another type. If you are getting them all from the same store them maybe there was something wrong with that batch of black moors. If you have them in your tank for more then a day or 2 then I would say its something with the water or maybe the other fish are picking on them because of their eyes and stressing them out.

My black moors also died, while the othe gold fish are wonderful. They died everytime I changed the water, even if it was prepared water. They are simply weak when young. The survivors can grow and grow and become huge. I just don't buy black moors since then.
I've had blackmoors or black mollies. I'm afraid they don't live too long usually. they get swimbladder trouble. the tubby kinds of fish are prone to it.
i think it because black moor catch diseases easily
black moors are not very hardy fish can die suddenly for no apparent reason i had some for about 3 months but they all died
maby when you put food in the other fish eat it first or your not puting any decloriniser in and it water still has clorien in
try another supplier, i have had mine for about 3 years now, no probs!! oh by the way you don't have a biorb tank do you? as they always seem to die in this type of tank!!
That's just happened to me. My water tests are fine and the other goldfish is perfectly healthy. I do however have 11 white cloud mountain minnows in the same tank and apparently they can carry bacteria that coldwater fish can't tolerate, so maybe something infected my moor. But it looked fine until it sank to the bottom of the tank then died. I can't decide if the remaining goldfish will be lonely and want another companion though.
black moor's are over breed and seem to be prone to all disease's especially to do with the gut, I found I had to change the water every week when I kept them as any longer than that he kept getting sick he would only get better when I removed him in to a tank on his own. and changed the water every couple of days.
