Answers:they are jumpers for sure, mine use to knock my hood right into the floor they are always hungry seemed like mine always was just trying to get my attention i had a large black shark in with them and they were always throwin down but never jumped then,only in my presence.

yes it is natural for an Oscar to do this just as they also like to decorate thier homes by moving rocks and plants in your tank my Oscar jumps too and he almost knocks the lid off especially during feeding he will jump up and take the food out of my hand
